POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a crash after a driver involved failed to stop.
A maroon car and a white BMW F800 GT motorcycle crashed in Cranes Farm Road, Basildon, just before 1.50pm on Thursday August 18.
The motorcycle struck a barrier and the rider, a 46-year-old woman from Rayleigh, fell to the ground. She suffered a fractured wrist and was taken to hospital.
The car driver failed to stop.
Both vehicles had been travelling in an eastward direction near the junction with Eastmayne.
Investigating officer Pc Mark Weeble, of Chigwell Roads Policing Unit, said: "The victim is a motorcycle instructor who was following a student taking a test at the time.
"She did not see the exact make or model of the car, but it is believed to be a Honda or similar.
"I would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened or the vehicle travelling along Cranes Farm Road.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Pc Weeble on 101.
