A OPPORTUNISTIC ice cream seller thought of a good way to make a few pounds... by serving hot customers in the middle of a traffic jam.

A video, showing a group of teenagers going up to a Rossi van after a traffic jam blocked the M25 near Thurrock at the weekend, has gone viral with almost a million views in one day on Facebook.

The driver, believed to a mobile vendor from the Tilbury area, has been lauded for his ‘customer service’ after crowds of punters queued up outside his van on the motorway for some refreshment.

Colin Gray, director of Rossi Ice Cream, said: “We are very proud of some of our vendors that will put customer service first.

“And serving people in a motorway traffic jam... that’s customer service for you.

“We’ve just had a look at the video now and we’ve had a good chuckle over it. We’d like to get in touch with the driver and praise him for his customer service.”

The video, posted in Facebook group, ‘Lads Only’, has had 891,964 views since it was posted on Sunday evening.
