TWO people were arrested outside a convenience store in Vange after an off-duty police officer spotted them making threats with weapons.
Police were called to One Stop, in Marsh View Court, Vange, at 5.20pm yesterday.
An off-duty officer said he had stopped two people threatening another man with what was thought to be a baseball bat and a knife.
A 17-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man, both from Basildon, were arrested, but a knife was not been located.
The boy was questioned on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and given a police caution.
The man was questioned on suspicion of possessing a knife and bailed until August 20, pending further enquiries.
