A BASILDON man has received "life changing" injuries after he was stabbed during an argument last night.
Two people were arrested by police after the incident in South Crockerford, Vange, at about 10.20pm last night.
Officers were called to the area following reports of a group of people in the road causing a disturbance.
When they arrived, they discovered the victim, a 23-year-old local man, had been injured with a knife.
He was taken to hospital, where he is still being treated for injuries which have been described as life changing.
A 19-year-old man from East London was arrested at the scene.
After further enquiries by detectives, a 37-year-old Basildon woman was arrested this morning.
Both suspects were arrested on suspicion of GBH.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "Enquiries are continuing.
"Anybody with any information about what happened who has not yet already spoken to police is asked to contact officers at Basildon CID on 101.
"People can also leave information anonymously via independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
