THE Voice star Hollie Barrie has teamed up with her sister to pitch a business idea to billionaire entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson.

Talented singer Hollie, 31, from Ramsden Bellhouse, has taken a break from the stage to design her own range of high-quality travel accessories.

She lost her place in the BBC talent contest during the battle rounds, but remains excited about her future.

Hollie and sister Victoria, 34, from Ramsden Heath, have been shortlisted in the Pitch to Rich 2015 contest, which sees budding entrepreneurs put their business ideas before Sir Richard, thanks to their creation, Planet Tor.

The first product released by the brand, which aims to make travelling stress-free and hasslefree, is a packing cube set, individual holdalls which fit inside suitcases.

Hollie, who also works as a dog walker, said: “We both love to travel, and every time we travel to a different part of the globe we see it as a chance expand our mind and deepen our connection to humanity.

“I would always rock up at the airport late and flustered and would be the one with the suitcase open on the floor, rummaging for something or taking things out so that my case is the correct weight and Victoria would always be super-organised, gliding her way around the airport without a care in the world.

"Being organised has always been something Victoria has implemented in her life as she says it’s key to creating a calm mind and a calm mind leads to a calm life, leaving more time for feeling good and having fun.”

Victoria has been trying to get Hollie more organised for years, and they finally decided to put their creative minds together to come up with a long-term solution.

Planet Tor blends their passion for travel with peace of mind.

Victoria said: “Planet stands for our passion for travelling and seeing the world and Tor is what the family call me, it’s short for Victoria, and represents my organisational influence on our travel accessory brand.”

Pitch to Rich invited members of the public to vote for their favourite business ideas.
