Blocked train line causing c2c delays
TRAINS on the c2c line are delayed by up to 30 minutes due to an obstruction on the overhead wires.
The issue is between Shoebury and Thorpe Bay on the country-bound line but is currently delaying around ten trains.
Services leaving London Fenchurch Street between 2.10pm and 3pm, as well as those in the opposite direction from 3pm to 4pm, are currently delayed by between five and 25 minutes late.
A statement on the c2c website states disruption is expected until 4.45pm.
Services between Rainham and Purfleet were delayed earlier in the day due to a similar issue but the line has now been cleared and services are returning to normal.
