POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was seriously injured in a crash.

The incident, which involved a red Vauxhall Corsa and a 16 year-old pedestrian, happened at Danacre, Laindon, shortly after 7pm on Friday, January 23.

The teenager, from Laindon, suffered a serious head injury and was taken to hospital.

Any witnesses or anyone with information about events leading to the collision, should contact the investigating officer Sgt Mark Ammon at Laindon road policing office on 101.
