TWENTY new jobs have been created after a fast-food restaurant was given a revamp.
McDonald’s, at Basildon’s Mayflower Retail Park, off the A127, now has two drivethrough lanes, so customers can grab a bite to eat while on the move.
The branch employs 105 full and part-time staff.
Franchisee Gen Isikgun runs four restaurants, including branches at the Festival Leisure Park, the Fortune of War roundabout and Eastgate shopping centre.
A spokesman for McDonald’s said: “The refurbishment demonstrates Gen’s commitment to investing in the local community.”
