SPORTS clubs from the Rochford district are being invited to a session of council’s sports club forum.
The event starts at the Rayleigh Club, in Hullbridge Road, Rayleigh, at 5pm on September 18 and is a chance for sports club organisers to network, take part in workshops and learn more about help available to them.
Castle Point and Southend councils are also taking part in the event, which will focus on getting funding, with the organisation, Active Essex, running a workshop on getting Sport England grants.
Jo McPherson, Rochford councillor responsible for community, said: “We have some amazing sporting talent in our district and it is through clubs and groups many of them have had the opportunity to progress and excel in their chosen sport. This is a fantastic opportunity for clubs and individuals to learn what help is available and share experiences with other like-minded groups”.
