AN upcoming event for this week in Maldon has been cancelled.
The Grape, Grain and Gourmet evening at Promenade Park in Park Drive, which was meant to happen this Thursday, is cancelled.
Richard Holmes, director of customers and community, said: “It is with regret that we have decided to cancel the Grape, Grain and Gourmet event planned for this Thursday.
“Unfortunately, it proved unviable to run the event as planned as a stand-alone event.
“The District’s great range of wine and beer will however be represented at the Jazz in the Prom event on the Friday and the larger Smoke and Fire event over the weekend which are continuing as planned.
“We apologise to anyone who has been disappointed by the cancelation of the Thursday evening session but hope they can join us over the weekend as part of the Maldon Smoke and Fire event”.
