A BARMAN has shaved his head to raise hundreds of pounds for charity.

Mitchell Corin, 23, is a barman at the Carpenters Arms in Maldon, and this month made the spontaneous decision to chop off all of his hair for charity.

Mr Corin's chosen charities are Farleigh Hospice, who provide care to those with life-limiting illnesses, and the Hopefield Animal Sanctuary near Brentwood.

His generous efforts have led to him raising more than £600 for both charities, with that figure set to rise once more donations come in.
