AN award-winning theatre company is getting ready for its debut appearance at one of Essex’s most historic and picturesque locations.

The idyllic Cressing Temple Barns, will host the Shooting Stars Theatre Company next month for a performance of Noel Coward’s Private Lives.

Coward sets the stage for this classic battle of the sexes when divorced couple, Amanda and Elyot, are unwittingly thrown back together while on their respective honeymoons.

Directed by Jonas Cemm, there will be two performances next month with the first on Saturday, August 18 and the second on Sunday, August 19, with both beginning at 4pm.

Tickets for under-18s and over-60s will cost £12.50 while standard admission is £15.

Family tickets, which include two adults and two children, cost £45.

Even though it is performed outdoors the show will go ahead in the rain unless there are extreme conditions - so theatre-goers are advised to dress appropriately.

The theatre group was founded in 2006 by Helen Crosse and performs across the country.
