A control order has been put on two dogs after they attacked and killed another animal.
Braintree Council prosecuted Stella Betts, 61, of Highfields, Great Yeldham, under Section 2 of The Dogs Act of 1871.
Betts owns two Staffordshire bull terrier type dogs which were found to be dangerously out of control in Beazley End on September 29 last year.
The animals attacked a Jack Russell, resulting in injuries which meant the dog had to be put to sleep.
Betts was unable to attend a hearing at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on Thursday, however contacted her court to admit her dogs were out of control.
Magistrates put a control order on both animals and ordered Betts to pay £854.50.
