HUNDREDS of residents visited a school which was transformed into a winter wonderland with real reindeer.
All Saints' Primary School, in Great Oakley, hosted the Magic of Christmas on Saturday, December 9 for visitors and pupils.
At the event, there was mulled wine and mince pies to try, festive stalls with arts and crafts, and a mystical reindeer hunt.
Children also had the chance to ride donkeys and visit Santa in his grotto to tell him what was on their Christmas wish list.
Jean Wier, assistant headteacher, said: "It was a fantastic event.
"We had a real life reindeer behind Santa's grotto, and two real donkeys which the children could ride, which the children really loved.
"Inside the hall was a large snow globe which was lovely for photographs of the children.
"All the teachers had their photos taken in the snow globe too."
The money made from the event is being counted and will go towards the building of an early years outdoor classroom.
