A host of Christmas events are coming to the Maldon district this weekend.

Farleigh Hospice will put on its Christmas Fair at the Plantation Hall, Colchester Road, Heybridge, on Saturday.

The event takes place from 2.30pm to 4pm and there will be stalls selling cards, cakes, jigsaws, crafts and jewellery.

All the money raised will go to the hospice.

A festive craft fair will take place at Maldon Town Hall, Market Hill on Saturday from 9.30am to 3pm.

There will be handmade gifts, Christmas cards, decorations, ceramics, jewellery, paintings and blacksmith goods.

Refreshments will also be available.

The Royal Corinthian Yacht Club, The Quay, Burnham will put on a festive fayre on Sunday.

It takes place from 11am to 3pm.

People are invited along to take a look at handmade crafts including bags, cakes and gift bundles.

Mulled wine, mince pies and other refreshments will be available.

The Christmas Craft shop at the The Maeldune Heritage Centre, Market Hill will also be open on Saturday selling a range of festive items.

There will be crafts, gifts and work by artists.

Entry to the centre in Maldon is free.
