FRINTON'S main shopping street was closed as emergency services treated a patient after they suffered a fall.
Two ambulances and two fire engines were called to Connaught Avenue, close to its junction with Hadleigh Road at about 11.15am.
The road was closed in both directions while paramedics dealt with the incident.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of a patient who has fallen in Connaught Avenue.
“Three ambulances and three units from our Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) attended the scene.
"The patient was taken to hospital for further treatment.”
