AN inquest into the death of a 13-year-old boy who was found hanged has been opened.
Brandon Barker, of Berkley Close, Highwoods, Colchester, was found at a family address in Mersea Road, Langenhoe, on Friday, August 11.
An ambulance, a rapid response vehicle, ambulance officer and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance medical car attended at 1.40pm.
Sadly the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.
His death is not being treated as suspicious.
An inquest was opened and adjourned at Essex Coroner's Court, in Chelmsford, on Friday.
Senior coroner Caroline Beasley-Murray recorded the cause of death as hanging and pneumonia.
The inquest was adjourned until Friday, October 6.
