A INQUEST has opened into the death of a man in Mayland.
Alan Offord, 75, was found dead in Mayland on June 14.
An inquest opened into the death of Mr Offord at Essex Coroner's Court in Chelmsford on Friday, with a preliminary cause of death recorded as a gunshot wound to the head.
The inquest was adjourned, with the full hearing taking place at the court on September 7 at 11am.
