PLANS to build a new family home on agricultural land have been thrown out.
Jon Bodsworth submitted the outline application for the two-storey four-bedroom property in Harwich Road, which included a detached garage to also be used as an office and study.
The site is outside the settlement development boundary and Tendring Council decided that it did not meet the social or environmental criteria of a sustainable development.
It was felt that it would be demonstrably harmful to the semi-rural location and the harm would outweigh any benefits of the scheme.
Lawford Parish Council objected to the application on a number of grounds and no other letters of representation were received.
