MALDON Film Club's hugely successful season continues next week with a screening of Me, Earl and the Dying Girl.

The award winning Me and Earl and the Dying Girl is described as a coming of age movie with uncommon charm and insight. The film tells the story of seventeen year old Greg who whilst being a part of every social group at his Pittsburgh high school does not have any real friends. Greg’s mother forces him to befriend Rachel, a Jewish girl he once knew who has leukaemia and Greg and his co-worker Earl plan to make a film for Rachel.

The Club meets at Maldon Town Hall and doors open at 7.15pm. Wine and soft drinks are available, at a charge, from 7.30pm and all films begin at 8pm.

Guests can view the film as well as the final in the season on May 24, Mustang, for £3 each.

The next meeting is on May 10.
