A DRUG dealer has been jailed for a second time in three weeks.

Salim Faqi was jailed for six months at Chelmsford Crown Court yesterday.

Faqi was sentenced for possession of cannabis and possession of a bladed article on July 3 after a roadside stop by police concerned about his driving.

Sentencing the 21-year-old, of Morning Lane, London, Judge Patricia Lynch QC said: “In view of your four year sentence this pails into almost insignificance.

“As far as the possession of the knife is concerned, it was not being used to commit or threaten violence, it was in the door pocket of your car and simply spotted by police officers as you were being arrested.

“The sentence is one of four months imprisonment for the possession of the bladed article and the possession of the cannabis to be served concurrently.

“I also sentence you to two months imprisonment for the breach of your suspended sentence to be served consecutively, leaving a total of six months.

“That will be served concurrently with your current four year sentence.”

On March 3, Faqi jailed for four years for possession of £3,500 worth of cocaine and cannabis with intent to supply.

He was given a four year sentence for the cocaine and two 12 month sentences to run at the same time for the possession of cannabis with intent to supply and for possessing criminal property.

He was also banned from driving for three years for driving with no insurance or licence.

Faqi admitted all the charges.

He was pulled over by police in a black Kia Cee’d in Whitehall Road, Colchester, at around 11.50am on February 2.

Inside the vehicle were 17 bags of cannabis, seven bags of cocaine, 14 paper wraps of class A drugs, including cannabis and cocaine, and four mobile phones.

When searched further bags of drugs and cash were found.
