A WOMAN who discovered a wedding ring that had been left by the roadside is trying to reunite it with its owner.

Heybridge resident Dee Massey was out walking her three dogs yesterday lunch time on Broad Street Green, when she discovered the ring within a grass verge near the roadside near the junction with Scylla Close.

The gold ring has a distinctive markings of leaves and mountains around the outside.

Mrs Massey has logged the discovery with police and has alerted bus company Stephensons whose number 90 service stops at the bus stop near to where the ring was found.

She said: "It's a beautiful ring and I would love more than anything to get it back to its owner. I would hate for them to be worrying over it when it's safe and sound.
