A STREET has come together to switch on their homes’ Christmas lights in an annual community celebration.
Residents of Nayling Road, Braintree, have festooned their houses with Christmas lights.
The event has become famous in the area and every year hundreds of people go along to see the spectacular displays from houses along the road.
The homeowners also collect money for charity, this year raising money for charities including the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity.
Charlotte Burt, one of the organisers said: “My house has a light show to music which is one of two displays.
“The week before Christmas is usually the busiest but for a mid week switch on we had a lot of people turn up.”
The houses will be illuminated until December 31.
