TWO more people have been charged in connection with the death of carer Michael Beckwith.

Mr Beckwith, 44, died after an assault in Barrack Lane, Harwich just before 10pm on Sunday, July 31. 

He died on Tuesday, August 2.

Triston Biddlecombe, 23, a family care worker, of East Street, Harwich and unemployed Enderlein Biddlecombe, 19, also of East Street, Harwich, were arrested yesterday and charged with conspiracy pervert the course of justice.

They are due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today.

Three other people, Scott Swift, 27, of Station Road, Dovercourt, Rebecca Ryan, 21, of Hilltop Rise, Weeley and a 17-year-old boy from Harwich are due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on September 2 charged with conspiracy to murder.

Mr Beckwith, who worked at Connolly House nursing home in The Street, Weeley, lived with his mum, Iris, in Goodlake Close, Dovercourt.

The 44-year-old, an Elvis Presley and classic car fan, was a keen fisherman and was a member of Harwich Angling Club.
