A RECRUITMENT banner is soon to be erected over Burnham Railway Bridge for the Burnham Air Cadets.
The Air Cadets were awarded ‘Squadron of the Year’ by the RAF Benevolent Fund in April for the work they have done for charity and for the community.
Now the cadets are looking for the next batch of youngsters to carry on the work that has been started.
Burnham Town Council approved their request for a recruitment banner to be hung over the Railway Bridge on Church Road at a town council meeting last Wednesday.
Burnham Town Mayor, Councillor Ron Pratt, said: “They are a charity that have done something outstanding for the town in winning the award they have done this year.
“If they want to put up a banner, I will stand there holding it myself.”
Anyone aged 13 to 16 and a half years of age is eligble to join the air cadets.
