It may only be October but quiz fans around Tendring are being urged to get their thinking caps on and sign up for a festive brainteaser.

Tendring Council chairman’s charity quiz night is being staged in the Princes Theatre, Clacton, on Friday December 4.

Once again Adrian Robinson from Clacton Lions will be taking on the role of quizmaster for the evening.

There’s plenty of time for teams to sign up and the cost is £3.50 per person with teams to consist of four to six people.

There will be a licensed bar, raffle and prizes for the winners and teams are encouraged to bring along their own food. Doors will open at 7.30pm and the quiz will get under way at 8pm.

Council chairman Fred Nicholls said that while it is meant to be a fun occasion to raise money for his charity there is always likely to be some friendly rivalry.

“It is always about coming along for an enjoyable evening but some like to take it more seriously than others and there is a battle to top the league table,” he said.

Money raised on the night will go to the Chairman’s Charity which this year is the Harwich Mayflower Project.
