A unique Great War aerodrome is hosting a fly-in next weekend.
The World War 1 Aviation Trust will “return to life a hundred years ago” at the event at Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome, Hackmans Lane, Purleigh.
The weekend will include demonstration flights from a Be2e, an Albatros and a Sopwith Snipe, subject to weather and serviceability and visiting aircraft, stalls, a simulator and a barbecue on Saturday evening.
On Sunday the Layer Marney Cup, a fuel economy challenge, with entries from all decades of motoring, will take place.
Ticketed talks on defending England against bombers and an Edwardian ‘Magic Lantern’ show will be held over the weekend.
