The number of people claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance has fallen to an “historic low”.
The Office for National Statistics released statistics last Wednesday, showing a decrease in the number of claimants in the district.
The claimant number has dropped by 20 people since April.
There are now only 378 people claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance in the district, equating to one per cent of the area population and down from 514 in 2014.
