SUPERMARKET staff raised more than £4,000 for a soldiers’ charity in just two days.
Workers at Tesco Hythe fundraised on May 30 and May 31.
Kind shoppers donated £4,009 which store community champion Lisa Wells has decided to donate to Help for Heroes, which has recovery centre based near to Colchester Garrison.
She said: “I think because Colchester is Garrison town, the forces have a special place in people’s heart.
“We thought £4,000 over two days was fantastic and we’d like to thank everyone who donated.”
