Beauty team dress up in 1940s gear to raise cash for charity
STAFF at a beauty counter started their VE Day celebrations early to raise money for charity.
The Elizabeth Arden team at the Colchester Debenhams dressed in Forties-inspired outfits in aid of the Royal British Legion.
They organised a raffle and gave facials and Forties-style makeovers to shoppers in exchange for donations. Elizabeth Arden is also donating £5 for every lipstick sold during the month.
Manager Diana Wheat said: “Everyone got involved. It was a great event. It is a great cause. We want to raise as much as possible.”
The team will continue collecting money for the charity until Friday.
