A MOTHER and child had a lucky escape after a car smashed through their kitchen before being driven off.
Kayleigh Wise, 28, rushed to rescue four-year-old Gabriella after a car crashed through her a wall, right below her daughter’s bedroom.
With the whole house still wobbling Kayleigh grabbed her daughter and her phone and got outside to find a giant hole in her house.
A black Ford Fiesta collided with the house in Berkley Close, Highwoods, shortly before 10.30pm last night.
A 26-year-old man from Colchester has since been arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drink or drugs.
