ANXIOUS parents are to hold talks with police about rising fears over schoolchildren’s safety in Clacton.

Detectives believe the same sex predator could be linked to up to 20 sex attacks on boys and young men.

Police launched a manhunt in October after six people were attacked in Clacton.

The investigation revealed the man could have committed up to 18 offences in Clacton and two more in Elmstead Market and Colchester over the last four years.

Concerned mum-of-five Jennifer Jones, 31, has now set up a meeting so police can brief parents on the latest developments.

She says local schools sent out two more suspicious activity warnings to parents in the last fortnight.

Mrs Jones has organised a meeting with police at Coppins Hall Community Centre, in Maldon Way, today at 10am.

She said: “I want to create a group to protect our children and keep people informed."
