Shocked residents have set up a fundraising campaign for a rape victim.
More than £100 has already been raised to help the victim, who was attacked by two men near the underpass at Mill Lane, Maldon, on January 24.
Lorraine Hastings of the Bovis Estate, Heybridge, set up the fundraising page.
She said: "I feel like the girl needs a break, to start to rebuild her life."
