ELDERLY and housebound readers of the Frinton and Walton Gazette could benefit from a free gift of potatoes next month – thanks to Frinton Rotary Club.

Rotarians will be delivering 28lb bags of potatoes to households who have no transport of their own and have difficulty with their shopping.

If you live in the Frinton and Walton area you could be elligible for the free spuds.

Pick up a copy of this week's Frinton & Walton Gazette, which contains a declaration and a form.

If you can tick yes to all three statements on the declaration (stating you have difficulty shopping, do not have a car and live in within the right area), fill in the form and put it in an envelope marked Rotary Free Spuds.

Forms can be left in Walton at: Blease Shoes, High Street; in Frinton at: Smiths Newsagents, Connaught Avenue; Nelders Newsagents, Walton Road; Sound and Vision, Triangle Shopping Centre; and at Kirby Post Office.

Forms may also be posted to: Rotary Free Spuds, Frinton and Walton Gazette, 28 Jackson Road, Clacton-on-Sea, CO15 1QL. Closing date is November 7.
