An “amazing array” of cakes were sold off to raise vital hospice funds.
Plume School held a hotly contested bake off challenge with about 30 pupils and staff showcasing their sponges and icing skills.
School catering manager Paula Flight said: “The youngsters have done ever so well.
“Their cakes are great and they have used their imagination.
“I’m very impressed.
“I did a chocolate sponge and it is definitely a death by chocolate cake.”
The school thanked independent judges from Lottie and Jakes Cakes of Maldon High Street who kindly gave a gift voucher as a prize.
All the proceeds will go to Farleigh Hospice.
The winners are as follows: Best in Show (Adult Section) - Hazel Gower Best in Show (Student Section) - Sophie Mason Runner up (Adult Section) - Debby Duchesne Runner up (Student Section) - Tilly Harmer
