A mum was ‘absolutely elated’ after her beloved family dog was handed in anonymously to a vet after running away.
Jack, an 11-year-old mixed breed terrier, ran away from the family home in Victoria Road, Maldon, last Thursday.
Mandy Manchester, 49, a pharmacy assistant rang her vets, who told her he had been handed in.
She said: “A lady had brought him into the vets.
“She hadn’t left a name at all.
“He is one of the family, our baby, and I just wanted to thank the lady so much.”
We’d like to hear from the woman who found Jack, if that’s you, get in touch on 01376 334 340.
