CLACTON lifeboat was launched to help a broken-down motorboat near Seawick.
Coastguards received a call for help from the boat, which had six people on board, at about 4.40pm on Wednesday.
The boat’s crew were told to drop their anchor to prevent drifting and Clacton lifeboat was sent to find it.
The lifeboat towed the motorboat back to its home port in Brightlingsea.
