Beautiful wedding dresses from through the ages were matched with flower displays for an exhibition.
Delicate lace, bold colours and period costumes will adorn St Andrew's Church, Halstead, from today (Friday 11) until Sunday.
Halstead flower club put a lot of work into the exhibition, and visitors appreciated the variety of colours and styles, both of dresses and blooms.
Jean Leathan of Halstead hospital league of friends, was serving refreshments and remembering her wedding of 1958 to late husband Tommy.
Compared to modern weddings, it was "on a shoestring", she said, as people were recovering from the Second World War.
She said: "I think the exhibition is absolutely lovely, there's some really beautiful things. They're beautiful arrangements."
