Health bosses insist they have not yet ruled out using a former police station as a doctor’s surgery.
NHS Mid Essex Primary Care Trust asked an independent consultant to review the Great Yeldham station, which closed last November, as an alternative to building a new practice in the village’s Whitlock Drive.
Adrian Marr, director of resources at NHS Mid Essex, said a consultants are reviewing the former police station premises and the existing business case for a new-build surgery.
Essex Police Authority will make a final decision on the future of Great Yeldham Police Station on June 25.
