A host of special services are set to be held throughout the district to remember those soldiers who gave their lives for the country.

The country will pay its respects to those who have died in previous wars this Sunday and members of the public are invited to attend any of the Remembrance Services taking place in and around the Braintree district.

Braintree

  • Braintree and Bocking Public Gardens in Bocking End will be holding a special service at 2pm on Sunday where a representative from the gardens will lead a wreath laying ceremony
  • Scouts, Beavers and Cubs will be taking part in their own parade through Great Notley.

The children will start their walk from the community centre in the village at 12pm and walk to the War Memorial in White Court while waving their flags.

The procession will then return to the community centre where a collection will be taken.
