THOUSANDS of revellers flocked to enjoy a cold one at the Chappel Beer Festival.
A five-day celebration of all things ale, the festival is now in its 31st year and is bigger and better than ever.
450 different beers were on offer for drinkers to try, along with 100 ciders and perries.
The event takes place at the East Anglian Railway Museum and is a joint venture between the museum and the Campaign for Real Ale.
Brendan Sothcott, organiser of the festival, said: “It has gone very well this year. It was a bit cooler weather wise but everyone is having fun.
“This year we have put in a big new marquee which gives us about a third more space for people to move around under cover.
“I have done all 31 of the festivals. We started off with 20 beers and now we have 450 which is amazing. It is always hard work but when you see people enjoying themselves and smiling it makes it worth it.”
