Thousands of properties lose power due to overhead cable fault
Thousands of homes lost power this afternoon in the Halstead area.
Residents reported the power cut from around 3.15pm, with most homes back up and running by 6pm.
It is believed that the fault was caused by an overhead electricity cable.
More than 2,500 properties were thought to be effected.
