FROM pupils to prom royalty students from The Ramsey Academy signed off for the school year in spectacular style.

The prom, at Essex Golf and Country Club, in Earls Colne, included a red carpet and crowds of parents and siblings who gathered to watch them arrive in classic vehicles and classy outfits..

Vehicles included the traditional limousines, vintage cars, an old Second World War car and a selection of souped-up sports cars.

Girls and boys were treated to a three course meal before the awards were handed out.

Prom King was awarded to Luis Berkane and Prom Queen went to Daisy Catterwell.

Best dressed girl went to Zaynat Reza and Ethan Ancient won best dressed boy.

A spokesman for the school said: “It was great to see all of our Year 11 looking so happy and grown up.

"We wish them all the luck in the future.”
