A CARE home is inviting people to visit its residents and join in with celebrations for Care Home Open Day.
From noon to 4pm today, the team at Colne View care home, in Dame Mary Walk, Halstead, will be opening its doors for a free familyfriendly event.
The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their communities.
Omar Taylor, home manager at Colne View, said: “Care Home Open Day is about connecting people and enriching the lives of residents through lasting relationships with the local community across the generations.”
Guests will be able to enjoy vintage American entertainment and a drive-in movie theatre will be showing classic films throughout the day, including Grease and Singing in the Rain.
The home’s chefs will also be serving up a tasty American-style barbecue for visitors.
