Early bus set to be axed
ONE early morning bus service into Braintree from Halstead will be axed.
The first 89 bus of the day, run by Essex County Council, from Great Yeldham to Braintree will be withdrawn, but the service will continue hourly throughout the day.
The move comes as part of a shake-up of bus services by Essex County Council.
Following feedback from almost 5,000 residents the council, which says it is investing £8 million into the service, will cancel four Braintree bus routes.
