POLICE say they are missing one vital piece of information in the hunt for the body of missing person Chris May.

Speaking the day before the two year anniversary of the Kelvedon man’s disappearance yesterday, Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Smith said police believe that the former drug dealer is dead.

Mr Smith said: “He was involved with cannabis primarily but we do know that he had moved up to dealing cocaine and class A drugs.

“I believe it is that attempt to move up the ladder that may have contributed to his death.”

Essex Police have compiled a detailed timeline of the events in the run-up to Chris’s disappearance, however they believe they are missing one critical piece of information, which the public may hold.

Mr Smith said: “Without that piece of information I see it being difficult.

“I genuinely believe that the information that can lead me to finding Chris and the people that killed him is held within the drug dealing and users community.

“I would appeal for the persons within that community with information to come forward. Even if the information just leads to the recovery of the body.”

There are currently no suspects being considered in relation to Chris’ murder.
