A POPULAR charity music festival will return to a village next month.

Wethersfield Music Festival will be back for its fourth year on Saturday, June 3.

This year organisers have decided to collect cash for the Make-A-Wish foundation.

Organisers have hand picked a selection of local artists and bands set to take to the main stage across the course of the day, with a mix of different genres to cater for all.

In total seven acts will perform including five bands and two solo artists.

Aside from the music, there will be inflatables, a fun zone, a range of stalls including Slush and donuts, catering units, a licensed bar, side stalls and much more to be announced, ensuring there are fun attractions for all the family.

Crowds will be wowed by Recovery, Quixotes Beard, Risky Notes, Gunnysacks, The Stents, Chelsea Afton Taylor and Rob McDonald.

Organiser Matt Suckling said: “There will be lots happening for the whole family with a licensed bar, food units, a range of inflatables along with fun zone which includes Zorb balls and pedal karts, slush stall, candy floss and doughnuts.

“There will be side stalls of different variety and we’ll also be holding a raffle on the day which has great prizes from local companies.”

Entry to the event on Wethersfield Playing Field is free and parking is provided.

It starts at 1pm, with music starting at 3pm, and will continue on until 9pm.

The festival was first held in 2014, with the idea to stage a festival and bring new ideas to the village, as well as raising money for charity.
