DOGS will be putting their best paws forward for a major fundraising event for the Essex Air Ambulance.

More than 300 walkers are expected to take part in the Heli Hounds Dog Walk Day.

The charity is also seeking its first Heli Hounds Hero which will become the face of next year’s walk.

The walk takes place on Sunday, March 5 from the charity’s office at the Earls Colne Business Park, Earls Colne.

It features a five-mile trek through the Marks Hall Estate before returning back.

Lorna Mackinnon, for Essex Air Ambulance said this was the third annual event with last year’s raising £8,000 for the charity.
