PEBMARSH’S school is celebrating 50 years in its home.
The St John the Baptist Primary School building turned 50 earlier this month, and students and teachers have been celebrating the anniversary.
The Lord Bishop of Chelmsford, The Right Reverend John Thiarks dedicated the building on September 19 1966.
To celebrate the occasion, the school was visited by the Archdeacon of Stansted, The Venerable Robin King.
Reverend King visited each class, talking to the children about their work and the school.
He then joined them in a whole school assembly, during which the head teacher read out facts about 1966 that students had researched for homework.
