CHILDREN at a day care centre were in for a shock when they received a surprise visit from two police officers.
The shock for the youngsters at Blossom & Bloom centre in Gestingthorpe was quickly replaced with joy when they were allowed to try on a police hat, handcuffs and play with the police radio.
The children were allowed to explore the police car and were given a talk about the force, what they do and how they help the public.
Amanda Carter, manager at Blossom & Bloom in Nether Hill, said: “It truly was a memorable experience, finished by a loud siren as the police car drove away.
“This is just one of the many exciting opportunities children have at Blossom & Bloom. “Blossom & Bloom truly is a magical environment for children to play, learn and grow.”
